So last day before moving out and damn I own A LOT of underwear. I always thought I didn't have enough and it turns out I have enough to last me a month I swear. :|

But anyway... Packing is not fun ugh I have so much crap I never expected to have this much crap fuck my liiiiiiiife. /run-on sentence

Also, uh that lost Cal 1 card means I can't eat using meal points for that first day, and I only have $94 to last me until October in terms of food on weekends since the meal plan doesn't cover that much. According to my calculations I'll be short $20 haha. And that's spending only $10 on food on weekends with no additional splurges.

I can prooooooobably mooch more money off my parents if I try but that'll only be if I am in desperate straits. So uhm. I'm going on a diet, yeah! (go get those hot legs woop woop) Though I am owed $41 by 3 separate people going to Cal tomorrow so... If I get that in time I won't starve!

Damn I'm good at cutting it close haha gotta stop doing that. @_@

While I love my laptop...... The screen butchers my ability to clean up scans cause the contrast is different depending on the angle so I end up leaving all sorts of ick. D:

1. School
The one thing that my life revolves around, quite literally. The place where I can (kind of) get away from parents' restrictions. But mind you I don't actually like school all that much. My classes/teachers mostly really suck, haha. Hopefully that'll be different next year though. :]

2. Shopping
I love shopping. A strange admission coming from me if you knew me for the past.... 10 years? Hahaha. I had a boy-phase and a very long don't-care-about-shopping phase but truth be told? I love shopping. I like pretty things, what can I say?

3. Art
Ohohooho art. I dunno what to say here, haha. I do art, I draw, yes. Uhm. That's about it? x'D I don't tend to go for deeeeeep emotional meaaaaaaning in my art often, if at all. But oddly enough, much of my personal art (aka not drawn for others) make me come across as suicidal, if you did not know me in real life (I am the least-suicidal person ever. /hyperbole).

4. DOGS
BESTEST MANGA EVER MIWA SHIROW'S ART IS GOD. LITERALLY. AMAZZZZZZZZZINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.

5. Computers
Computers are sexy. Especially my new laptop. But yeah, I LIVE on the computer. It's kind of really bad for my eyes and health (lol muscle atrophy) but I'm still alive and kicking so. X'D

On another note, I stayed up until 4 AM last night playing Pokemon. This is the first time I've EVER played it and man oh man can you say addicting?

So yesterday I went karaoking with a bunch of friends. I got way too into it, and strained my throat.

Now I have a sore throat + mild fever + achy muscles.

My flight is tomorrow.

I am going to be miserable on that flight. (Especially since I checked and on my SFO --> TYO flight I have a smaller than average seat. In economy. So that's pleasant. :|)

But you know, if I can overcome my sickness, the flight will be awesome. They provide games (like Pong, Sudoko, Go, etc etc), 46 movies, and TV shows! (National Geographic Channel and Cirque du Soliel)

Back to trooping through the house being miserable. OTL

Edit: Ooh well, can't go. At least, not tomorrow. I would be quarantined the moment I get there cause I have a fever of 101.84 degrees. :/

And gosh, Expedia/ANA are slowpokes. I've been waiting for a response for 15 minutes already. [after I told them what I wanted to do, I mean]

In other news, east coast college visit trip got canceled on me by my mom, who decided that she was too busy and that I was "too sick"* to go.

Translates to that my college choice was made for me. Cal it is. I know I shouldn't be bitter about this, but I seriously liked CMU a lot more from what I heard about it. But I'm not going to go to a school that I have never visited before or anything. Plus I'm sure I'll have a grand old time at Cal. It's just I don't like not having control over this type of decision. I mean, hello next 4 years of my life? But whatevs. Time to start planning orientation and housing and stuff. /o/

Also, on the topic of animation, if any of you remember that project of mine, I was wondering if anyone is interested in voice acting? We are in need of voice actors for our animation~ So far, the roles are:

★ prissy girl (if you can sound like a brat, this is for you, hahahaha. Mind you there's a timeskip and she becomes less bratty.)
★ quiet/reserved boy (even if you're female, if you can sound like a boy (like Paku Romi heheheh), that works too!)
★ Will of the People representative person (this role involves a lot of talking/philosophizing. He is also the quiet/straightforward type. He is a thinker versus a doer.)
★ Resistance man (This role requires a male with a deep voice. He doesn't talk a lot, though.)
★ loads of random people (basically, if we can't cast you as one of the above 4 people, you can probably still do something. hahahaha)

First. 100 HOURS OF ASTRONOMY EVENT. Celebrating Galileo's 400th year anniversary of using a telescope to survey the skies, sponsored by International Year of Astronomy. ~~Gosh I sound like a commercial.~~ The site is down currently due to the traffic, but it is here if you're interested. :B

So before, my choice in colleges was between Carnegie Mellon and Berkeley. However, that decision was nearly made for me by the fact that CMU gave me $0 in financial aid. HOWEVER, CMU has a policy of reviewing their package for you, if you can send in a package from a "peer institution".

Well, I just got my Cornell financial aid in the mail and.... I GOT $23.6K IN GRANTS. FREE MONEY. THAT I CAN USE TO WHEEDLE MORE FREE MONEY OUT OF CMU.

FUCK YESSSSS.

Right now, going to ~~freezing cold~~ Cornell would only cost me $26k ish, making it basically the same price as Berkeley. But since it's an Ivy.... my dad is now trying to convince me to go to Cornell for undergrad, then go back to Berkeley for grad.

Ugh, decisions. D: I'm still gung-ho for Berkeley, but with the state of things right now, my previous 80% sure of going to Cal is down to 50% sure. We'll see how things go after I visit Carnegie Mellon and Cornell.

I am so tired of being productive right now. At least it's almost break, ~~otherwise known as cramming scholarships time.~~

Oh oh that reminds me. My last college interview was on last Sunday, for Princeton. My interviewer was amazing. First, SAME HOMETOWN (China lol), he went to my dad's rival university (Peking University versus Tsinghua University, both top schools LMFAO), he knew Diablo (I dunno if this is anything special but I usually expect to have to explain video games to 30something adults.), he knew about Final Fantasy, and he didn't seem off-put by my ranting. So far I've ranted at most of my interviews. It's not my fault they want me to talk about what I'm passionate about! D8

Anyway, the guy was amazing and adorkable and I had a great time. We reminisced about China a lot, discussed government and communism, ranted about silly things people do just for college applications (hey thar high school research and volunteering in Africa/South America), sciences versus engineering, and subjectivity in English classes. It was amazing. ♥

Too bad Princeton has that Aaron Burr Hall. And Aaron Burr was a graduate of Princeton. Fucking ass. D< [grudge against Burr for killing favorite Founding Father] ;-;
